Live shows in Virginia not just the Local Bands!?!

I got invited to see the Wailers last Friday, and I couldn't believe it was in our own town. Don't get me wrong we got some really good local bands/talent and there is plenty to do around here. The summer concert series is for charity too! Connor's Heroes is the official charity for Celebrate Virginia Live.

"Celebrate Virginia Live is an annual charity concert series that will be held on Friday evenings during the summer in the new Celebrate Virginia development in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Net proceeds will benefit the Connor's Heroes Foundation, an organization whose goal is to aid in the eradication of childhood cancer. With a line-up of world famous artists and an anticipated average draw of 5,000 people per show, Celebrate Virginia Live will quickly become a Friday night tradition and establish itself as one of the pre-eminent summer events in the region. Situated on a stunning ten acre meadow overlooking the Rappahannock River, Celebrate Virginia Live will attract a diverse and vibrant audience and offers sponsors an unparalleled opportunity to gain visibility and create a valuable and lasting bond with the community as well as help support a very worthy cause, putting an end to childhood cancer."

Mark Nesbitt's Ghosts of Fredericksburg Tours

I haven't personally been on a ghost of Fredericksburg tour. I have some friends who have been on the tour and said it was pretty neat. Not everyone may be into this type of thing, but you also get a tour of the local history at the same time. Fredericksburg was the place of major civil war battles. Check out their website for tour info they won't be open till the spring, but defiantly something to check out if your looking for something to do in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Check out Mark Nesbitt's blog.
